Tara is a dynamic and skilled counselor

who has broad experience in various counseling settings with additional extensive experience in the corporate world to add to her highly effective counseling practice.  Combining her counseling and training with her executive leadership background, Tara has a unique and deep understanding of a wide variety of circumstances and issues .  Tara effectively uses her professional experiences in conjunction with her extremely skillful counseling methods and technique to deliver a novel pathway towards growth and healing for her clients.

Tara’s therapeutic process is wholly unique for each individual and couple as she believes there is not a “one size fits all” model to healing. Her therapeutic approach to aiding in clients reaching their goals is eclectic, and she utilizes tools such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other approaches which best fit her clients needs. Tara works diligently to identify, challenge, and overcome problematic patterns, thinking, and behaviors that stand in the way of her clients success and healing.  She has an exceptional ability to relate and identify barriers early on in the process to start working quickly towards change and growth.

Tara is dedicated to fostering a safe and trusting environment and working together with her clients to empower and aid in strengthening their quality of life.

 Professional Background

Tara graduated with a Masters in Arts in Counseling from St. Edwards University in Austin, TX where she was in the Honor Society and a member of the Master in Arts Counseling Student Association.

Tara has successfully worked in private practice with individuals and groups from various socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, educational, medical, and other diversified backgrounds utilizing an integrative and holistic approach. She has additional experience working with children and adolescents with Communities in Schools and the Girls Empowerment Network.

Prior to pursuing her counseling career, Tara worked as a senior account executive and manager at a Fortune 500 company.
