A Certified Grief Educator with advanced training in crisis intervention, she works in a direct, warm, collaborative way. She is known for bringing steadiness — and occasional humor — into conversations that can otherwise feel tense or overwhelming.

Julia focuses on couples work, divorce support, and co-parenting, helping families reorganize while keeping children’s emotional well-being at the center. She works with clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families.

 Professional Background

Julia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Gonzaga University and her Master of Arts in Child, Couple, and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. She began her career working directly with children and families in school, home, and community settings.

Her early clinical experience includes six years as a hospice volunteer and two years as a crisis phone interventionist, where she developed a deep respect for how families respond under stress. After relocating to Texas, she served as a Private Professional Guardian, advocating for individuals facing complex medical and legal decisions. She later founded Hoffman Collaborative Therapy, where she developed a specialization in divorce support and co-parenting, grounded in the belief that while a marriage may end, the family system continues.

A mother of four daughters, Julia continues to expand her professional training. She completed Martha Beck’s Wayfinder Life Coach Training and is a Certified Grief Educator through the David Kessler Training Program. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience into her work, offering a steady, grounded space where families can address difficult realities and move forward with intention.
